Week #35- April 27, 2026
Entering the Home Stretch!
As we enter the final stretch of the school year, it’s hard to believe there are only 26 days of school remaining! While our calendar is full of exciting events, celebrations, and end-of-year activities, this is also a critical time for learning. Students are continuing to build important skills, complete assessments, and wrap up key concepts that will set them up for success next year.
With so much going on at school, maintaining routines and structure at home is more important than ever. Consistent bedtimes, maintaining routines, and clear expectations can make a big difference in helping students stay focused, positive, and ready to learn each day. Even as the anticipation of summer grows, these steady routines provide the support children need to finish the year strong.
We are proud of the hard work our students have shown all year and are excited to see them carry that momentum through the final weeks. Thank you for your continued partnership in supporting your child’s success; let’s finish strong together!
Construction Update: The visible progress on the renovation and expansion project includes the addition of the brick to the exterior of the two new areas and some site work for parking lot lighting and storm water containment.
Inside, the 5th grade wing demolition progresses behind a makeshift wall and door, and is nearly complete. Following demolition, work on the classroom spaces and complete restructuring of the bathrooms will begin. Three renovated rooms, the conference room, and two smaller resource rooms near the kindergarten classrooms should be complete by the first of May. It will be nice to have these spaces back as the school heads into end of year testing. I am working closely with the Lantz team to minimize the potential for disruption during testing windows.
