Week #26- February 23rd

Stay the Course!

We welcomed students back after a long weekend that included some time for you to learn about your student’s progress.  As we move into this important stretch of the school year, I want to encourage everyone to stay the course and continue providing support at home. Your encouragement, routines, and check-ins make a meaningful difference in helping students stay focused and confident.

This is a highly meaningful time academically as we make a strong push before spring break at the end of March. Consistent attendance, completing assignments, and healthy habits at home all help set students up for success during this stretch.

If you have time to volunteer here at MES, we would love to hear from you!

As you may have heard from previous updates, MES is running a Fact Fluency Cart to improve Math Fact recall.  Please use the sign-up below if you are interested!  Thank you in advance for any help you can give.

Construction Update: Construction crews took advantage of the two days without students this week, working on various project details in the building. Mechanical work continues in the right front corner of the kindergarten hallway and the two classroom addition area. The floors were poured in the kindergarten/first grade bathrooms. There will be some electrical work in the hallway near the main office this coming week. I talked with the foreman about safety and a good plan is in place to allow safe flow of traffic while that work is occurring. Masonry work should resume this week, weather permitting.
