Week #23- February 2, 2026
Given the week that we just experienced, there is little in the way of an update for the coming week. The MES custodial crew, along with maintenance department staff, worked to clear sidewalks and parking areas to the extent possible given the frigid temperatures. Work will continue throughout the week to widen access areas and remove lingering ice. Please be careful when parking and entering the building.
The planned 10-Day Attendance Challenge has been postponed. I will communicate new dates for the challenge soon.
Also, please note the changes to the school menu for the coming week. MES will follow the January 26-30 menu instead of moving into the February menu. Beginning Monday, February 9, the school will return to the posted menus.
Construction Update: The school closure was a positive for the crews working inside at MES. Workers made great progress this week in the bathroom demolition phase and in the cafeteria. Much of the heavier, and noisier, work was completed with students and staff away from the building. Work will continue in the kindergarten/First Grade wing for the coming weeks.
Thanks for your patience and cooperation as we navigate the renovation project.
Have a great weekend!!
