Week #22- January 26, 2026
Building Strong Learners Together!
We are so proud of the academic growth happening across MES! Every day, students are building stronger reading, writing, and math skills through engaging lessons, targeted instruction, and lots of hard work. This progress is a true team effort between students, teachers, and families.
One of the most powerful ways to continue this growth is by reinforcing skills at home. Simple activities such as reading together, practicing math facts, talking about what your child is learning, or encouraging them to explain their thinking make a big difference. These moments help students build confidence, deepen understanding, and see learning as a shared priority.
Be on the lookout for a message soon regarding Parent/Teacher Conferences on February 17th to check in on your student’s progress!
Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Together, we can help our students grow, thrive, and reach their full potential; both in the classroom and beyond!
Construction Update: The cold temperatures slowed progress on the outside work this week. Work has continued on the few rooms and large bathrooms on the Kindergarten/First Grade hallway. Workers have been very accommodating of the school schedule and been thoughtful in minimizing noise levels. There is some noise, but they are working to reduce the impact. For that, I am appreciative.
The ceiling work in the cafeteria has continued in the evenings this week. The only impact in this area has been that the absence of the ceiling tiles makes the cafeteria much louder. Some of you have visited this week for lunches and have witnessed the noticeable difference first hand. Students have responded well to requests to reduce voices and noises even more than usual. In reality, 80-100 kids in a room with no sound absorption will be loud.
Stay safe this weekend!!
