Together We Learn, Together We Grow!
We believe that students succeed best when families and educators work together! As part of our Parent Engagement Policy and Schoolwide Title I Plan (DRAFT), we are committed to creating strong partnerships with families to support every child’s learning and growth.
Title I is a federal program that provides additional resources to help all students meet high academic standards. Our Schoolwide Plan and Parent Engagement Policy outline how we use these resources to strengthen instruction, provide additional support, and offer opportunities for families to be actively involved in their child’s education.
We invite all families to stay engaged by attending school events, sharing feedback, and participating in learning opportunities throughout the year. Together, we can make a lasting difference in our students’ success!

Holiday Assistance/Support Opportunity
Forms for our Holidays with Heart program were sent home last week.
Holidays with Heart is designed to both support MES families in need of holiday assistance and provide interested MES families an opportunity to give to those in need.
If you are interested in participating in Holidays with Heart this year, forms are due by Thursday, October 23rd.

Cafeteria Note: If the guest (usually a parent or family member) brings outside food into the cafeteria, the student should only invite one student to join the table. If they are eating cafeteria food, then the student can invite two guests. This will allow enough seating at the guest tables, reduce conflict, and help us monitor food sharing.
Duke Dog Reading Program is here!
Students will have from today until February 21, 2026 to complete their reading requirements and earn their prizes! Student participants will be able to earn FREE tickets for the following events:
December 14, 2025 — Women's Basketball vs. Notre Dame
January 10, 2026 — Men's Basketball vs. Old Dominion
February 21, 2026 — Women's Basketball vs. App State
