Week #7- September 30, 2024
This coming Friday MES will have the first House Day of the year. In the House system we create four groups of students and staff, across all grade levels and job assignments, that will meet periodically throughout the year to build meaningful relationships and strengthen the internal MES community. The special days were very popular last year as students engaged in a variety of fun activities.
I look forward to the event this week as new students are assigned to their houses, receive their t-shirts, and participate in team-building games. I am sure we will grab some cool photos and share them through social media.
The other House Events this year will be geared toward some practical and fun learning experiences connected to several elective experiences that students will encounter in middle and high school. Students from the ERHS Agriculture classes will be working with students in one of the options. Other rotations are still being planned, but the idea is to include experiences from Fine Arts classes, wellness & fitness, and technology. We are also open to outside groups providing an experience. If you have an idea, please let me know.
Students are going to have some great experiences this year. They will learn, have fun, and enjoy being part of a community. Your support of these opportunities is greatly appreciated.
Have a great week!!
